Surfart by local artist Steve Andrew. Steve Andrew has been painting and drawing waves and beaches for over 20 years. He also opened the UK's first surf art related gallery in Truro, in the early nineties. Steve paints with acrylics and oils but also uses sand, bits of wood, & other found objects. Each painting consists of many layers, marks, scrapes and drips built up overtime. Steve has a constant loop of paintings he works on and some can be in and out in a matter of weeks whilst others can take years. Steve has sold paintings all over the world and is also known for his large scale mural work. You can see examples in Saltash (Overhead surf) and Liskeard ( South Coast Surf) as well as in France at Hourtin and Montalivet.
