Hi There
I am emailing from UK Surf site Sunset Surf. Love the gallery and would like to ask if you would put a link to my site - www.sunsetsurf.co.uk
We specialise in tried and tested reviews of all types of surf related gear.
Would also be happy if you wanted to put any of your images into our gallery for further exposure.
Thanks

Hi Jon,

I was hoping you`d be able to get Jason to give me a call or send his number.
I`m in the throws of organising a local team surf contest for Sat 5Th Jan with Pat at South Coast Surf, it would be great if Jason wanted to get some of his cronies involved, i`ve not seen him to tell him and Pete Stewart suggested I email you.

Cheers,

Matt

Hi Jon

Just wondering what its like to be the brother of a famous surfer?

Im sure he has given you the full recognition you deserve for putting him in the lime light?

The fact that you sacrificed your own popularity to propel your older sibling into the glitzy word of professional surfing must have been a real strain on you... probably resulting in you eating to comfort your downward spiralling emotions!

Nevermind you've always got J2 to fall back on!!!!

Just watched the new surf footage contructed by fellow WBP member "Hoz"... that is video gold, I dont know what was best the slightly edited High pitched Si, or the classic display of curtains!! Was that part of WBP thing, that all member needed to have massive curtains to flick around in the cold salty sea? Long live the WBP and long live the curtains...

Just dropping you a line to say congratulations on a great site. I have been living and surfing in fuerteventura for about the last 6 years, but learnt to surf at whitsand and spent most of my youth surfing the bay and spots to the south. I have alot of great memories. Your site, especially the photos are making me a little homesick. I am coming back to the u.k around mid September for a couple of weeks and i?m hoping to score a couple of sessions at the bay. Fingers crossed we get a swell. Check my website from fuerte,www.7islandsurf.com. I recognise the faces of Jason and Rob. See you in the water.

Dave,
Thanks for the concern regarding the whole coastguard and "whale" incident last week. Fortunately the photographer in question, my J2 partner Jason Brown, is now recovering in hospital after being winched to safety up the cliff. Like the whale Jason was forced towards the beach in his never ending quest for food and unfortunately became exhausted and distressed in the shallow shorebreak. I'd like to express my sincere thanks to the Coastguard for their tireless efforts in the 4 hour operation. Also like to extend my thanks to Massive Winch Ltd (SW) for the use of their triple strength monster winch used in the rescue. Also like to apologise for the fact the winch was totally destroyed under the strain. Its a lesson for us all.

Hello Jon

Just writing to say sorry for ringing the coastguard & greenpeace on Thursday last week. I was driving past Freathy taking in the views, when I saw this big black thing rolling in the shorebreak. Thought it was possibly a big seal, walrus, porpose or perhaps a baby whale, that had become stranded on the beach. I now realise it was just you 'playing' with your new housing. Again Im sorry, must get my special eyes checked out!

Hi there Jon

Great site... its like so awesome!!

Whilst checking out the locals from WBP, I noticed a cute guy by the name of Puffy.

Is there any chance you could hook me up with this, hairy, slightly bolding, piece of man-hood?

I look forward to your reply

Hey Jon,
Love the site - for those of us that have trouble reading there's loads of cool pictures to look at too. Just one question.... where is Whitsand Bay, anyway.....? ;)

Good to see you had some nice clean surf, obviously Thunder Bay was really good when you were away. It was oil-ly glass, square wide open pits, ya know, get covered, get slotted, pitted, deep, la la la la.

Cut hand eh, on some rocks. GGrrrrrr. Just a scratch no doubt. Quoting Jas 'The Waterman' Symons, 'Pain is weakness leaving the body'.

Impressed with regards to surfing with the men in grey suits, even more so for the solo surfs. Defo.

Hi Jon, "great" site. I've been using the Pentax Espio135mm 38mm-135mm zoom but don't seem to get the same quality as I see on your site....what about the Olympus mju720sw? I've heard through the WBP that it's the next best thing. Do you have any info for me or anyone who may have been looking in to buying one. Keep up the great work.
p.s. do you actually know all of the WPS cos that Faz guy looks hot from the pictures I've seen.....he is a long way away though, do you want to try my camera?

I was surfing Seaton on Mon evening 2nd Oct, 1-2 ft and clean and no Uni students!! (Happy days) Just a few local boys out and great to see that there is a new generation of young ones from Downderry and Seaton getting in the water regularly. The future looks good as us boys in our 20's head for our 30's where for some the long hair if any hair are distant memories.

By the looks of your pics we should've gone in at freathy. We were in at boilers/happys and it wasnt all that, Saturday was better. Just long for clean and consistant waves. Nice website, keep it up. Hi to Si Deacs for me.

Hi Jon
I am just starting up a Cornish Search Engine. Unlike most other sites in Cornwall it is not related to the Holiday Trade. Can I ask for your support and if you could add your site to the Search Engine and the E- Business card section I would be most Greatful.www.spectrum-search.co.uk

Just thought i would drop you a line to say think the photos are cool, good to see the local exposure. Having read whats on your site and getting a feel for the mood and theme that comes across and being a Whitsand Bay local for 15years here are my observations on Summer after a drive along the bay today:
1. The road between Trgantle Fort and Rame Head is not a carpark. I hope you get a parking ticket.
2. The road between Tregantle Fort and Rame Head is not a pedestrian walkway.
3. Townies go home.
4. If you walk 4 abreast on the road i will drive at you.
5. If you sit in the road on a bend i will drive close to you, so that i don't crash into oncoming traffic.
6. Don't give me the evil eye for driving along my local roads.
7. Please realise that not all roads are motorways.
8. Townies go home.
9. You cannot park your car in the hedge.
10. It is not good for your car to be parked at a 45 degree angle.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the email, i have one thing to say:
11. Freathy is private land, it says so as you drive into the estate. Therefore it is not a public carpark.
